Welding Co-ordinator
Location: Bridgwater
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Welding Co-ordinator has arisen onsite with one of our clients, a world leader within many key industries based in Bridgwater location for permanent - PAYE role.
Role
As a Welding Coordinator you will support the Senior Welding Engineer in the delivery of the Tasks and responsibilities associated with ISO14731.
Responsibility
* You will be reporting to Senior Welding Engineer, primarily responsible for coordination of WPQR’s, which includes test pieces procurement & machining, technique development, PWHT & Mechanical testing.
* Assisting in the compilation WPS’s, Technical Reviews, performance of repair investigations, compilation of WPS and Welding Data Packages, review and acceptance of filler metal certificates.
* Welding Co-ordinator will assist in the compilation of welding related process procedures, subcontractor procedures, suitability of welding equipment, preparation of Weld repair methodologies.
* Subcontractor review of Post Weld Heat Treatment procedures
* Researching and implementing new technology/welding processes to aid in improving production.
* Welding Co-ordinator will provide technical input to the welding team and coordination of Production test coupons.
* Coordination of welder qualification and site tests.
* Management and validation of welder qualification certificates
* Welding Coordinator will be involved in the evaluation of metal and problem solving techniques to overcome issues with the design drawings or work pack requirements.
* Completes any other duties as assigned by the Senior Welding Engineer and preparation of Weld cards.
