Key Responsibilities: Technical Objectives: Conduct fieldwork, analysis, and report writing for hydrogeology, hydrology, and water environment chapters of EIAs. Utilise GIS, Excel, and CAD tools to analyse and present data effectively. Lead on authoring client reports and implement quality assurance processes. Coordinate and undertake site visits and fieldwork, ensuring adherence to health and safety processes. Manage a personal development plan, with support from your line manager, to achieve chartership with CIWEM, ICE, or the Geological Society. Build expertise in regulatory frameworks governing water environments and ensure compliance in all activities. Project Management & Work Winning: Manage 4-5 projects simultaneously, meeting quality, budget, and programme expectations. Act as Project Manager for projects valued up to £10k. Lead on proposals up to £10k, with guidance from senior colleagues. Undertake market research to support business development efforts. What Our Client is Looking For: A strong first degree (upper second or higher) in a numerate discipline; a postgraduate qualification is advantageous. Relevant experience in undertaking EIAs for infrastructure projects, particularly in relation to the water environment. Enthusiasm for career progression to a senior role in the near term. Proficiency in GIS, Excel, and CAD tools, alongside strong analytical and report-writing skills. Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight for fieldwork and client meetings.
