We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated Psychology or Education graduates who are looking to make a meaningful impact in the world of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The Role: As a graduate teaching assistant in SEND education, you will work closely with students who have a range of special needs, including ASC, PMLD, SEMH, SLD, and more. Your role will involve providing support in the classroom, assisting with the delivery of tailored educational plans, and helping students engage with their lessons in a positive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis to help them access the curriculum.
2. Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons tailored to students' individual needs.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and valued.
4. Help with the social, emotional, and personal development of students.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to regular assessments.
Who We’re Looking For:
1. A recent graduate with a degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
2. A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs and helping them succeed.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
4. Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to working with students with diverse needs.
5. Any previous experience working in SEND education or with children is a plus but not required.
