JOB OVERVIEW
As a Senior Event Manager at Spook, you will be instrumental in leading the management and execution of high-budget, prestigious events for our luxury clientele. You’ll be the primary liaison with clients and high-end venues, overseeing every detail from concept to completion. Working closely with our clients, chefs, and operational teams, you will drive the full event lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction, logistical efficiency, and flawless delivery. This role requires a high level of client engagement, financial oversight, and leadership within a high-energy, collaborative team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Planning & Execution:
* Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of large-scale events, ensuring each one meets the client’s vision and upholds Spook’s reputation for excellence.
* Manage complex logistics, oversee vendor and staff coordination, and maintain quality across every event detail.
* Conduct post-event evaluations, capturing feedback and analysing key metrics to enhance future service delivery.
Sales & Business Development:
* Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new high-profile clients, building a robust pipeline to meet sales targets.
* Develop compelling proposals and pitch concepts in line with the Spook brand.
* Cultivate lasting client relationships, generating repeat business and referrals
Team Leadership & On-Site Management:
* Mentor and guide junior event managers and on-site teams, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence.
* Provide active, hands-on leadership during events, managing real-time issues to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Financial Oversight & Budget Management:
* Set and manage event budgets and maximise profitability without compromising quality.
* Collaborate with our finance team to align event budgets with Spook’s financial objectives, providing detailed updates and managing costs effectively.
Prestigious Venue & Client Relationship Management:
* Develop and sustain relationships with top-tier venues across London, positioning Spook on exclusive venue lists.
* Conduct site visits, negotiate contracts, and manage all venue arrangements to align with client and brand standards.
* Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing high-touch service and strategic guidance to ensure a seamless experience.
REQUIREMENTS
* Proven Experience: Minimum 7 years in event catering, with at least 3 years in senior roles within a luxury London catering company.
* Client-Centric Approach: Skilled at managing high-profile clients with professionalism, discretion, and strategic insight.
* Budgeting Skills: Strong financial acumen, with experience managing and optimising large event budgets.
* Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, focused on client service.
* Leadership Ability: Demonstrated experience in team management and motivation in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
* Attention to Detail: Impeccable attention to detail and dedication to delivering exceptional, bespoke experiences.
* Flexibility: Availability for flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
* Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with London’s high-end venues, suppliers, and event trends.
