An exciting opportunity has arisen within Spectrum for a Team Leader to join our dynamic criminal justice team, committed to supporting people with drug and/or alcohol issues who are involved with the criminal justice system. The Team Leader will provide support, advice and guidance to a team of recovery workers. This role will manage a team of recovery workers, liaise and build relationships with partner agencies, particularly courts, prisons, police (Drug Test On Arrest and Integrated Offender Management) and probation (Alcohol Treatment Requirements, Drug Rehabilitation Requirements) and work to ensure your team delivers a high level of support to people accessing the service. Where: Hatfield Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week Full Time Salary Range: £35,220.59- £37,184.90 (pro rata for part time hours) This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2026. About the role: • Operational line management of a team of staff which includes supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal, performance and sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow CGL and external policies applicable to their roles • Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities that assist service users reaching their full potential as individuals and community members • To work in partnership with all Criminal Justice Agencies (including police, probation, court staff and liaison and diversion partners) within the area and develop pathways and mutual ways of working to gain the best outcomes for the service users • Work with partners to increase accessibility into treatment for those involved within the criminal justice system (including custody, out of court disposals, prison releases who have had problematic alcohol use, service users working with probation and vulnerable person referrals • To lead on relationships with local prisons to ensure an effective pathway for service users on release from prison into community services which includes a smooth transition About you: • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience • Knowledge and experience of developing and leading health and social care services and delivering services which evidence high performance and quality standards • Significant experience of leading teams who work with families where children are subject to social care intervention • Knowledge of current legislation surrounding children, young people, and safeguarding practice • Able to lead, inspire and develop a team • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to use common MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook) What we will give to you: • 25 days holiday ( bank holidays) rising by 1 day for each years’ service “Capped at 30 days” • Paid ‘Wellness’ hour each week along with a ‘Wellness’ hub and Employee Assist Programme • Contributory pension scheme • A great selection of benefits incl. discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays, etc. • A friendly and supportive team • Training, career development & progression opportunities • Refer a friend scheme and receive £250 in vouchers if candidate is successful.
