* Location: All Liverpool Philharmonic Buildings, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool Philharmonic at The Friary (Everton)
* Responsible to: Facilities Manager
* Contract: Full time, permanent
The Facilities Assistant, as part of the Facilities team, will be responsible for the day-to-day efficient running of all Liverpool Philharmonic buildings.
The successful candidate will be based at the Philharmonic Hall but may be required to cover occasional weekends and evenings at The Friary in Everton.
A pro-active, hands-on approach is necessary in this position with previous maintenance experience a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and checks as per schedules.
* Undertake minor repairs and painting as required.
* Diagnose any system faults and report using logging system.
* Undertake moving of furniture and equipment as required and ensure rooms are set up for meetings or events as required in all buildings.
* Report all structural, fabric, furnishings, fixtures and equipment defects to the Maintenance Manager, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
* Undertake maintenance, cleaning and caretaking duties as required at The Friary.
* Work safely as per company Health and Safety processes and procedures.
* Undertake the role of Incident Control Officer when required at Philharmonic Hall and Friary.
* Regularly test fire alarms and emergency lights and be familiar with the evacuation procedures for Philharmonic Hall and Friary.
* Ensure lights and other equipment are switched off as appropriate.
* Liaise and supervise where necessary with contractors during their works and control and monitor associated documentation.
* Maintain excellent relationships with colleagues in other departments.
* Deputise in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
* In addition, the post-holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties commensurate with their status and abilities and depending upon requirement of Liverpool Philharmonic.

* Salary: Dependent on experience and skills
* Employment type: Full-time, permanent
* Hours of work: The standard contracted hours for this post are 35 hours per week. There will be a requirement to undertake frequent evening and weekend work, and this will be included in the post’s 35 hour working week. You may be required to work over and above these hours, but you will receive time off in lieu for this.
