We're thrilled to offer an opportunity for dynamic, customer-focused individuals to join us as Duty Managers for the 2025 season. As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer experiences and ensuring our cafe operates smoothly and efficiently.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Cafe Duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our cafe. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness while ensuring smooth daily operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for hospitality.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring seamless service and customer satisfaction.
• Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming visitors to Rockley Watersports and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
• Supervise cafe staff, delegating tasks and providing support as needed to maintain high standards.
• Ensure adherence to cafe policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Beach Club Team/Rockley Point Sailing Centre to promote weekly activities to cafe patrons.
• Delegate daily responsibilities to cafe staff, fostering a proactive and organized work environment.
• Engage in general cafe duties including food and beverage preparation, service, and point-of-sale operations.
• Assist in managing inventory levels, including stock rotation and ordering, to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Support staff training, ensuring team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Uphold the cafe's aesthetic standards, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Maintain Costa brand standards to meet external audit requirements.
• Opening and closing the cafe, ensuring all procedures are followed.
• Checking deliveries and reporting any discrepancies or issues to the Cafe Manager.
• Completing necessary paperwork and documentation throughout the day.
Requirements:
• Professional and approachable personality, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Previous supervisory experience in a cafe or restaurant setting is essential.
• While catering/kitchen experience is desirable, it's not mandatory for this role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• IT skills would be desirable.
• Candidates should possess or be willing to work towards Food Hygiene Level 2 certification, with our support.
