Our Client has a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Assessor to work in their Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). This can be a hybrid and remote vacancy (1 hour living distance from Bradford).

Salary: GBP37,500-GBP39,500 - OTE (opportunity to earn) GBP38,480-GBP43,450
Location: Hybrid and remote roles available
This position involves undertaking assessments for Personal Independence Payment required for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), working as part of a successful, integrated team, and contributing to the contract at a local level, ensuring that quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction are all achieved. Full training is provided, including a comprehensive eLearning program and a five-week full-time training course.
Job Role:
1. To analyse and interpret clinical information and medical evidence and provide a report in a professional and concise manner.
2. To work to agreed standards/targets and respond positively to feedback.
3. Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships with both medical colleagues and administrative support staff.
4. To undertake recorded and video assessments where required.
5. Have highly developed communication skills and be able to respond to a rapidly changing work environment.
6. To work unsupervised and use own initiative; however, know limitations and ask for support where necessary.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required:
1. Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic, or Occupational Therapist with current PIN and a minimum of one year post-registration experience.
2. Previous experience of disability assessment/clinical decision making e.g. A&E or NHS Direct is desirable.
3. Ability to multi-task, demonstrating that you can listen, type, and talk at the same time whilst controlling the assessment.
4. Strong IT skills with experience of using a range of software.
5. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
6. Evidence of responding to unexpected changes by adopting a flexible approach to work.
7. Evidence of ongoing professional development.
