Signatus are partnering with a rising specialist consultancy in financial services who have a base in Belfast and offices across the UK & Ireland, to recruit Compliance Associates. They are aiming to double their headcount to approximately 60 consultants within the next few years and have partnered with some big hitters in the financial world to help them get there.
The company provides bespoke governance risk and compliance solutions to clients across FinTech, FinCrime, Technology and Payments verticals. They count global names and industry-leading companies across Europe within their client list. Their teams are made up of subject matter experts in each area, causing them to be recognised by their clients as 'the Premier, go-to' firm for governance risk and compliance advisors in the sector.

This role will suit any consultant who is either Belfast or GB based and willing to undertake some travel to Belfast or the UK on occasion.
Your new role
As a compliance associate within the Team, you are responsible for assisting and sometimes leading client engagements and managing a portfolio of clients.
You will undertake sectoral analysis research that feeds into high-quality client insights and informs departmental strategy. You will work collaboratively with other teams in financial crime, Technology risk, regulatory compliance and cyber security matters. Additionally, you will support other stakeholders in developing and presenting strategy to the board and Executive Committee; support Senior associates and Directors within the department; and assist with pitch decks for both internal and external stakeholders.
All about you
1. You will likely be a Compliance Associate or consultant who has been trained in a Big 4 firm or notable in-house name.
2. Ideally, you can offer 2+ years of experience consulting on governance, risk, and Compliance matters (greater remuneration for consultancy experience).
3. Have experience working in FinTech, Fin Crime, Technology risk, advisory, assurance or payments sector.
4. Proven record of providing consulting experience to GB/EU asset/or fund managers is an advantage.
5. Strong understanding of the trends and developments within the UK asset/fund management sectors.
6. CISI Diploma in investment compliance or equivalent relevant certifications/qualifications are highly desirable.
7. In-house or seconded experience within a UK/Irish regulated financial services institution is desirable also.
