The Role
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of projects within Causeway to meet the current and future needs of the organisation.
You will manage projects from initial definition through to their successful delivery and will be the driving force in ensuring that projects are delivered to time, budget and quality. As a project manager you may need to deliver several projects concurrently, so the ability to prioritise and manage your time is key.
The role will involve working closely with the Project Management Office to ensure that projects are delivered consistently and that stakeholders are kept informed through timely and accurate reporting.
You will need to liaise with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across our business functions and engineering teams, so will be a confident communicator at all levels within the organisation.
The Project Manager reports directly to the Head of Solution Delivery.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the end-to-end delivery of a project, establishing and controlling project constraints, scope, timelines and quality.
2. Work with project sponsors and stakeholders to agree project success criteria and manage progress against these.
3. Manage process compliance, project scope, project controls, project risk, project governance, documentation and change control on all projects.
4. Provide clear ownership for and visibility of the resolution of all project risks and issues.
5. Provide timely and accurate forecasts and project progress reports to promote understanding and awareness of a project’s progress.
6. Manage relationships and communication with all project stakeholders and third-party providers.
7. Ensure a thorough and successful transition of new projects into support (internal or external), so that all project success criteria and expectations are noted, risks and issues are flagged, and project specific requirements are captured.
8. Coordinate sprints, stakeholder meetings and daily stand-up meetings as appropriate.
9. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas of improvement across project and portfolio management operations.
Minimum Requirements
1. Prince2 practitioner or equivalent project management qualification.
2. Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
3. High standards of professionalism, focused on quality in all aspects of project delivery.
4. Experience of technical software and hardware implementation projects.
5. Self-directed, resourceful and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be working with third parties as well as senior stakeholders across Causeway.
7. Commercially astute and able to balance trade-offs where necessary to ensure a successful delivery.
8. Attention to detail and able to produce high quality deliverables.
Desirable
1. Experience of Agile delivery methods, delivering software solutions in controlled increments (e.g., Scrum, Agile Delivery phases, GDS Service Manual, etc.).
2. Experience of working within a software development company.
3. Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and standards, e.g. ISO 27001.
