We are seeking a skilled Civils / Groundworks Manager / Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee, assist and coordinate the daily activities of workers at our 47 base residential caravan site development in Kewstoke, BS22 9XB, ensuring the project is completed efficiently and to high standards.
The project timeline is estimated 32 weeks including Christmas, starting on 11th November 2024. We would be looking to meet potential applicants on site on Monday 11th November with a view to starting straight away.
Duties include:
* Supervising and managing a team of workers on site.
* Setting out levels using equipment provided working to drawings and known datums.
* Coordinating tasks and assigning responsibilities to team members.
* Ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
* Monitoring progress and providing assistance and guidance to workers as needed.
* Inspecting work in progress and upon completion for quality assurance.
* Maintaining a safe work environment.
Experience:
* Previous experience in a supervisory role in civil engineering / groundworks.
* Knowledge of construction processes, tools, and equipment.
* Ability to read drawings and plans and understand project specifications.
* Ability to set out site levels in accordance with drawings.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, contractors, and clients.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in supervising and managing teams.
* Knowledge of construction industry practices and safety regulations.
* SMSTS (required).
* First Aid Certification (required).
* Fire Marshal Training (required).
* CSCS Card (required).
* Driving Licence (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week, Monday to Friday.
Work Location: In person.
Expected start date: 11/11/2024.
