We are currently recruiting for a Housing Services Manager to join the team of a well-established housing organisation on an interim basis, offering hybrid working, experience in a reputable company, and the opportunity to create a positive impact.
Position: Housing Services Manager
Location: Hartlepool
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9-5
Contract Type: Interim - until March 2025
Salary: £29-32ph via umbrella
As a Housing Services Manager, you will be:
1. Responsible for supporting the Director in implementing the vision, strategic and core values of the division.
2. Responsible for the strategic oversight and provision of all service areas.
3. Providing oversight and leadership of a valued, confident, developed, empowered and innovative workforce.
4. Seeking out innovative ways of integrating services within the division to achieve efficiencies and improve quality of service delivery.
5. Developing, securing and maintaining effective partnerships that support both the Division and the wider council's work.
6. Ensuring the provision and commissioning of safe, effective and high-quality services that are responsive to local needs and provided within a clear quality framework compliant with statutory duties.
7. Ensuring employees feel valued and understand their role in achieving the Council's vision and objectives in a supportive and learning environment which protects and enhances their personal well-being.
8. Working with and influencing relevant national and regional organisations, partners and stakeholders in a spirit of partnership and collaboration and developing mutually effective working relationships.
To be successful in this Housing Services Manager role, you will need:
1. Membership of the CIH or other relevant professional body.
2. Experience of effectively leading and motivating teams and individuals to achieve high levels of performance.
3. Detailed knowledge of legislation and best practice in social housing.
4. Able to foster and maintain positive working relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
