Here’s what it’s all about: As the Head of Legal Operations, your role is all about enabling a smart, efficient, and scalable legal function. You’ll bring clarity and structure to how legal advice is delivered across the business by introducing best-in-class systems, managing legal spend, and streamlining workflows. You’ll be the go-to expert on legal tech, team operations, outside counsel management, and internal reporting. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff): Build and implement a legal operations strategy to support a global in-house legal team Lead the selection and roll-out of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system and create a business-focused records taxonomy Oversee engagement with external law firms – tracking spend, managing authorisations, and measuring performance Support budgeting, KPI tracking, and reporting for the Legal department Help coordinate internal team development, professional training compliance, and legal team activities Act as the key liaison between Legal and other business functions to streamline cross-functional workflows and reduce risk These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview: 3-5 years of experience working in-house at a global company in a legal operations role Experience implementing legal technology and associated systems and processes Excellent academics A pragmatic and process-driven approach to tasks and reporting Behavioural competencies: High levels of personal organisation and time management A consensual and collaborative approach to work and relationship building Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A commitment to YouGov values It would be great if you had these too, but we’ll support you if you don’t: Prior experience in a lawyer or paralegal role Experience in an intellectual property or data-centric business (e.g., marketing, media, tech, advertising, publishing) What can you expect when you become a YouGover?
