Job Description
Day to Day as the Assistant Accountant you will be involved in:· Processing of Purchase Ledger invoices and credit notes· Reconciliation of supplier statements ( follow up missing invoices where necessary)· Resolve invoice queries· Maintenance of Aged Creditors· Maintaining Fixed Asset Registers + Posting Depreciation· Maintaining Prepayments Schedules + Posting Releases· Posting of sundry cashbook items· Bank account reconciliations· Daily and Weekly Sales and Orders Reporting· Processing of Company Barclaycard VAT· Processing of Employee Cash & Credit Card Expense Claims· Stock price verification
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
3. A strong educational background in finance or a related field
4. Experience with accounting software
5. Excellent numeracy skills
6. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
7. Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures
8. Strong organisational skills
9. Effective communication skills
