Role: Deputy Manager
Location: Wallington
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm + on-call rota
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities
As Deputy Manager, you will:
* Provide managerial leadership for the day-to-day operation of the home.
* Support children by assessing, planning, and meeting their physical, mental, and social needs.
* Facilitate and attend appointments and meetings for children.
* Oversee and maintain service user files, including care plans, risk assessments, and educational documentation.
* Supervise, coach, and develop staff through regular 1:1s, appraisals, and training.
* Manage and deploy staff resources effectively to meet the needs of the home.
* Promote a culture of safeguarding, ensuring children are always safe and supported.
* Support health and safety compliance and activity planning to enhance the children's experience.
* Assist with recruitment, induction, and staff development.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care (or an equivalent qualification).
* Proven management experience in an Ofsted-registered children's home.
* Strong organisational, verbal, and written communication skills.
* The ability to lead, inspire, and support a team to deliver excellent care.
* A good understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations.
* IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
* A proactive approach to solving problems and addressing challenges under pressure.
