We are a leading player in the FMCG industry, seeking a dynamic Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance and control functions at our Blackburn site. This is a critical role where you’ll ensure that our products meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of quality control and assurance across all stages of production.
* Lead the implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, and other standards.
* Oversee day-to-day quality control operations, ensuring consistent quality from raw materials to finished goods.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
* Lead external audits (ISO 9001, customer audits) and manage supplier quality programs.
* Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and optimize production processes.
* Train and develop staff on quality systems, promoting a culture of quality across the organization.
* Prepare quality reports for stakeholders and manage recertification efforts for ISO 9001 and other key standards.
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a Quality Manager role within FMCG or manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP standards.
* Experience leading audits, managing quality teams, and driving continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Hands-on approach with a focus on quality improvement and efficient problem resolution.
