We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Technician to join our waste team based in Earlswood - Redhill - RH1 5HE.
As the successful candidate, your role will be to perform a range of assigned front-line activities including operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost, and quality standards. In some cases, this may include planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the operation of the plant.
What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician:
1. Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
2. Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
3. Attending reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
4. Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
5. Always working safely and complying with all Health and Safety guidance and procedures.
What you should bring to the role:
1. Be a self-motivated person who can immerse themselves into the team around them, you need to be very disciplined and have the desire to learn from those around you and have a can-do attitude. This role can be demanding at times but very rewarding too.
2. Take Ownership of replying quickly to faults, being curious to fully understand the problem, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time.
3. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with the team.
4. Teamwork – We are one team, and our end goals are the same.
5. Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively.
6. Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
7. Knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.
8. Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is essential.
