12 Months Fixed Term Position available. We are looking for an enthusiastic Children's Community Nurse/RSCN/RN Children's Senior Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Children's Community Nursing Team, who care for children and their families in a range of community settings. Working 37.5 hours per week including occasional Saturday working and on-call duties for end-of-life care.
Main duties of the job
You will have excellent communication abilities across a range of ages. Team player skills are essential in this role as is Multidisciplinary working. You will be a lead professional for children with complex and acute care needs and be expected to have managerial responsibility in the absence of the team leader. The Children's Community Nursing Team is dedicated to supporting continuous professional development with systems in place for Clinical Supervision and annual appraisal for all staff. For applicants with limited community experience, there will be the opportunity for a supportive and comprehensive competency period.

The successful applicant for this post will be highly motivated to deliver evidence-based, family-centred nursing care for children in the community and show extended knowledge in oncology care. Experience
* Registered Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse Child
* Evidence of post-registration nursing qualifications in aspects of chronic disease management, e.g. diabetes, asthma.
* Post-registration teaching qualification
* Car driver with a valid UK driving licence
* The post holder will be required to regularly respond and adapt to unplanned events within their daily routine
* Dexterity/manipulation skills - ability to perform intricate procedures, such as line care, aseptic technique
* Community Children's Nursing Degree level qualification
* Physical Assessment and history taking qualification
* V300 Nurse Prescribing
