Job Description Graduate Civil Engineer A specialist engineering firm is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to support the delivery of innovative and sustainable solutions for infrastructure projects. The company works on major frameworks across the UK, focusing on the design and development of critical assets within the utilities and environmental sectors. Key Responsibilities of the Graduate Civil Engineer include: Assist in developing cost-effective civil design solutions in line with project specifications and industry standards. Conduct basic design analysis and calculations under supervision to ensure structural integrity and efficiency. Support site surveys and investigations to gather data for project planning and execution. Prepare detailed engineering drawings and documentation using industry-standard design software. Ensure designs comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, to develop integrated project solutions. Support senior engineers in project delivery, ensuring work is completed within agreed timelines and budgets. Stay up to date with advancements in civil engineering technologies and best practices. Requirements: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Some knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant design software (university or internship experience is acceptable). An understanding of basic civil engineering principles, including structural design, hydraulics, and materials. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines. Enthusiasm for infrastructure projects and a keen interest in sustainable engineering solutions. What’s on Offer: £25,000 - £32,000 per year, depending on experience.
