A highly reputable SEN School Group is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join the permanent staff at their school in Silverstone. The Role:
SEN Teaching Assistants will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with a range of special educational needs. The role involves providing tailored assistance, helping to create an inclusive learning environment, and ensuring students receive the care and support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
* Assisting with lesson delivery, adapting materials where necessary to meet individual needs.
* Providing one-on-one or small-group support.
* Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence.
* Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
* Supporting students’ social and emotional well-being.
* Assisting with personal care if required.
* Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or a similar setting.
* A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
