Job Description:
Building Maintenance Engineer - North West
Integral are looking for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join our Public Sector Team, covering the Liverpool LIFT contract. We are looking for an individual with a broad understanding of building services and experience, with a calm manner that engenders a sense of trust with the clients and the rest of the site team. Specific experience at a day-to-day operational level to suit the environment.
Responsibilities
* Ability to fault find and rectify.
* Support the contract management & admin team through the operations office, dealing with day-to-day engineering & other contract issues.
* Resolve problematic persistent recalls.
* Undertake quality control checks on both reactive & PPM tasks.
* Communicate effectively with clients and end users.
* Have a flexible approach to working times to suit client & business requirements.
* Respond to emergency situations in both normal & out of hours working times.
* Organise and direct subcontract labour as necessary.
* Conduct asset collections & condition surveys to assist the Contract Delivery Manager.
* Maintain Health & Safety records and ensure good practice.
* Other duties as requested by the Contract Delivery Manager to ensure smooth running of the contracts within the region.
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the relevant manager, including fault finding, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
* Carry out various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
* Close/update completed PPM tasks on the CAFM system.
* Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
* Follow Company & Site Health & Safety procedures at all times.
* Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
* Inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required and requested by management.
* Attend site emergencies and callouts outside of normal working hours.
* Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high levels, working from platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.
* Keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
* Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
* Complete any other associated tasks requested by management and as dictated within the operational scope of PFI/LIFT contracts.

Previous Experience and Qualifications
* Previous experience within the Building Services Sector - Carpentry Preferred.
* NVQ/Apprenticeship or equivalent in required trade.
* Current Full UK driving licence.
* A good awareness of Health & Safety working practices, COSHH, RIDDOR etc.
* Flexible approach to work.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines/targets.
* Commitment to continuing professional development.
