Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will:
* Lead and oversee the delivery of mechanical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
* Develop and manage project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Supervise the installation of plumbing, heating, ventilation, and pipefitting systems.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues.
* Manage procurement, including materials and subcontractor packages.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
* Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
* Resolve technical and operational challenges efficiently and effectively.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, Heating, or equivalent mechanical qualifications.
* Proven experience managing mechanical projects in commercial, education, residential, or local authority sectors.
* Strong knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, heating, and ventilation systems.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
* Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
* Proficiency in project management software is an advantage.
* A full UK driving license.
