As a Payroll Officer at LiveWest, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of all monthly payroll transactions, including colleague expenses and other benefits. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality will help maintain the integrity of our payroll processes, supporting our mission to provide quality housing services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Monthly Payroll: Assist with the timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll and expenses.
2. Data Management: Maintain high levels of quality and accuracy in data entry across various systems.
3. Financial Records: Set up and maintain financial records, ensuring data security and compliance with data protection requirements.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payments to colleagues.
5. Project Support: Support Payroll team members with various projects and activities to achieve desired outcomes.
6. Reconciliations: Complete monthly payroll journal, RTI returns, and reconcile pensions and payroll control accounts.

This role is being offered on a full basis working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working is available for this role, working 2 – 3 days per week in the office, depending on business need.

About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Payroll Officer, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level one role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:
1. Previous Experience: Knowledge of payroll-related processes and experience in high-volume payroll processing.
2. IT Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with large datasets.
3. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to liaise with a wide range of internal and external customers.
4. Personal skills: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
5. Customer Service: Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service while working to tight deadlines.
