Overview of the role
The successful candidate will be a competent and proven Senior C&I Engineer, capable of expertise across the engineering lifecycle of complex systems in highly regulated sectors, delivering technical solutions to complex systems. Will be required to check and approve designs, supporting calculations and technical documents (inc. plans) with minimal supervision. They will have the ability to translate a client's requirements into a meaningful engineering and technical solutions. Strong communication skills are required to regularly engage with clients and participation in design reviews as the project develops.
Key responsibilities
Maintain the engineering quality of the project, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards and local domain policy and procedures.
Be responsible for the technical quality of complex, fit-for-purpose engineering systems.
Have experience of lifecycle and maturity management.
Generate and update technical documentation to the client’s specification.
Maintain compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation.
Lead Design and System Level Reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the project and client requirements.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients is upheld.
Desired Qualifications / Prerequisites:
* Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant experience
* Hold professional registration with an approved body at the level of IEng
* Must be able to obtain or hold suitable security clearance and be a sole British National
* Conversant with the Office 365 suite of software
* A working knowledge of Def-Stan 08-123 and Def-Stan 00-035
