You will play a key role in supporting critical infrastructure projects and ensuring the timely delivery of tasks that contribute to the successful achievement of project objectives.
This position involves working on various infrastructure initiatives, including managing physical and virtual server estates. You will be responsible for maintaining the availability and performance of IT infrastructure in line with agreed Service Level Agreements, escalating concerns as needed. Collaborating with IT Operations and IT Delivery teams, the role demands both individual and team-based contributions to project tasks. You will also be tasked with minimizing downtime during project activities, conducting root cause investigations, and recommending service improvements across areas such as reliability, performance, and security. You will provide hands-on support for technical migration projects, assist with infrastructure maintenance and patching, and ensure that all activities align with information security policies and the company's Change Management Policy. Regular status updates and communication with business areas are also essential components of this role!
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
* Strong experience working in cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure;
* Ability to maintain good working relationships with third party service providers and vendors;
* Very good knowledge of implementing and managing Microsoft Azure environments using a CI/CD Dev-Ops environment;
* Knowledge of Firewalls and Wireless access (Preferably Fortinet technologies);
* Experience of sourcing, implementing, and maintaining automated monitoring tools for infrastructure;
* Strong virtualization experience using Hyper-V, managing multiple clustered virtual environments and the related tools;
* Knowledge and understanding of ITIL and industry best practices.
