Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust Senior Clinical Fellow in Endoscopy

This is a fixed-term post designed to provide the experience and education necessary for Doctors to progress in Endoscopy.
Main duties of the job
The position of Senior Clinical Fellow in Endoscopy is designed to support the Endoscopy Service at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, with the opportunity to acquire further specialist endoscopy training and academic skills. The post-holder will also support ward cover for the Gastroenterology Ward at Barnet Hospital and work alongside consultant gastroenterologists and GI surgeons, reporting to the Gastroenterology Lead.
This is a 12-month fixed-term post designed for supporting the Endoscopy Services. The post-holder will be required to take part in audits, manage 2-3 Endoscopy lists weekly, and participate in Gastroenterology outpatient clinics. The post-holder will be involved in new service developments such as Trans nasal endoscopy (TNE) and bowel cancer screening (BCSP).

* 18 months of general professional training experience at SHO level in general medicine
* Skills in common generic practical procedures (especially central lines, chest drains)
* 12 months experience in acute unselected takes
* Evidence of academic excellence
* Ability to work as part of a team
