EC&I Technician Toro Recruitment is seeking an experienced EC&I Technician to join a dynamic team at a newly established large-scale waste gasification power plant. The role of an EC&I Technician is ideal for a skilled professional eager to contribute to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) sector, ensuring the effective upkeep of EC&I equipment during the commercial operation of the facility. Key Responsibilities of EC&I Technician: Conduct troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and major repairs on electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, IT, and digital control systems. Perform testing and calibration of EC&I systems and field equipment in line with OEM specifications and industry standards. Ensure accurate input of all EC&I activities, spare parts, and data into the CMMS system. Provide technical support to operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant performance. Supervise contract support teams to carry out maintenance, breakdown repairs, and operational activities. Essential Skills and Qualifications: ONC/City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Controls & Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent experience). Strong understanding of HSE regulations, with NEBOSH certification considered an advantage. Experience in power generation operations, maintenance, or heavy process plant maintenance. Proficiency in preventative maintenance and defect repair on DCS/SCADA, PLCs, transducers, emissions monitoring, and other site-related equipment. Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop checking, and electrical drawings, with expertise in instrumentation calibration tools. What’s on Offer?
