Overview of role
Our Climate Change team is seeking a carbon analyst to join our advisory team in the UK. The successful candidate will have experience in delivering decarbonisation consultancy services for a range of projects globally.
Your duties and accountabilities will typically include:
Project delivery
* Support delivery of carbon footprinting, lifecycle assessment, and carbon management projects.
* Ensure successful delivery of projects to quality, time, and budget requirements.
* Assess project performance against standards and best practices.
* Inform project design regarding operational and embodied carbon.
* Assist in providing strategic advice to clients to achieve net zero ambitions.
* Develop data analysis for carbon assessments.
* Report writing and presenting results to clients.
* Engage actively in the climate change community at Mott MacDonald.
* Assist junior staff in building their carbon skills.
* Support bid submissions and opportunity development.
Essential
* Experience in carbon footprinting/LCA/carbon management projects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Collaborative behaviours to maximise stakeholder engagement.
* Knowledge of legislation and methodologies related to carbon management.
* Understanding of sustainability and climate change issues.
* Degree/post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
* Strong report writing and analytical skills.
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Desirable
* Experience of net zero, carbon in construction, and environmental impact assessment.
* Knowledge of low-carbon materials and processes.
* Experience with LCA tools such as OneClick, E-Tool, SimaPro.
