Finance Business Partner (2 roles) Location: Head Office (North, South, or Central region) Department: Finance Reports To: Head of Management Reporting & Analysis Salary: 42,000 Role Purpose: Ambient Support Limited is on a mission to find a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner who will be a cornerstone in driving financial insight and operational support within our vital social care services. This role is essential in fostering accurate and timely financial reporting, empowering strategic planning, and elevating financial decision-making across the organisation. Join us at Ambient Support Limited and be part of a transformative force in the social care sector Key Responsibilities: Management Accounting: Lead the preparation of timely, accurate monthly management accounts. Deliver financial reports to budget holders, ensuring clarity and understanding of variances, trends, and insights. Perform thorough variance analysis and provide commentary for senior leaders and operational managers. Ensure payroll, accrual, and prepayment journals are accurately posted and that balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of additions, disposals, and transfers. Prepare and post monthly depreciation schedules and reconcile fixed asset balance sheet accounts regularly. Financial Business Partnering: Act as the main finance contact for regional teams, supporting operational managers in understanding financial information, budgets, and forecasts. Provide finance training for non-finance colleagues within the region. Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to quarterly performance schedules and support the preparation of budgets and forecasts. System Development and Maintenance: Collaborate with the IT department and other finance teams to improve the accounts system. Develop and maintain financial models on Excel and other reporting tools. Key Requirements: Part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA). Significant experience in management accounting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Experience in a charity or social care setting is preferred. Strong communication skills, advanced proficiency in Excel, and a solid understanding of computerized accounting systems. A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented professional with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across multiple teams.
