Job summary A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and knowledgeable Locum Consultant Urological Surgeons (10 PA) to contribute to the elective recovery and continued restoration of the Urology service within North Bristol NHS Trust, delivered at Weston General Hospital and Southmead Hospital. Based at Southmead Hospital and Weston General Hospital the BUI is a tertiary referral centre and is the largest Urology department in the South West and one of the largest in the country, offering care for all urological conditions. The department is well supported by oncologists from the Bristol Haematology and Oncology centre and by a group of experienced and dedicated Cancer Nurse Specialists and Specialist Nurse Practitioners. Training and Experience Essential Recent experience and familiarity of UK hospital systems and practices (or equivalent). Minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience including higher surgical/medical training, three years as a Senior Registrar in an approved training post, or equivalent. Part of this period may be in a post of equivalent responsibility and training potential. Desirable Fellowship Training Experience in General and/or LUTS Further training/mgmt/audit Essential Evidence of recent CME/ reasonable training progression at this stage of career.
