Domestic Electrician - prison accommodation
Pay Rate: Negotiable
Hours: 1 in 3 shift pattern required
* Weekdays: 08:00-17:00
* Weekends: 08:00-16:00
Main Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, service, and repair electrical installations, circuits, and wiring systems in domestic prison properties.
* Undertake all electrical works associated with domestic prison properties.
Key Duties:
* Test and inspect electrical installations in prison properties in accordance with the 17th IEE Wiring Regulations as amended from time to time ("the Regulations").
* Maintain and repair electrical installations in accordance with the Regulations.
* Replace circuits and consumer units, including full rewiring of properties.
* Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other statutory legislation.
* Strict adherence to Company Health and Safety and operational policies.
* Compliance with instructions and directives from line management and the Central Coordination Team.
* Deliver electrical repairs and testing in both occupied and void properties.
* Undertake out-of-hours callout duties as per rota requirements.
Qualifications:
* City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Inspection and Test or the equivalent C&G 2394 & 5
* C&G 2382 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
* C&G Installation Certificate 2360 / 2351 or equivalent with Part 2 or NVQ
* C&G 2393 Desirable Part P Qualification
* Asbestos Awareness Training
* C&G 2377 PAT Testing Course
* Current full UK driving licence
