What You'll Be Doing
As the Agile Coach, you will guide our teams and organisation in adopting Agile practices and enhancing performance. Your role will involve working with the team to adapt agile methodology to our business, coaching and mentoring individuals and teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation to help deliver high-quality products. The position is varied and needs someone willing to really roll their sleeves up and get stuck in to ensure success. This is a new role to our business and as such we need someone with proven credentials and excellent communication skills, who can win hearts and minds quickly, and help us to effect real change!
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Collaborate with leadership to establish Agile processes that align with organizational goals and strategies.
2. Coach and mentor teams, leaders, and stakeholders on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks.
3. Facilitate and support Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
4. Work with teams to remove impediments and ensure smooth progress toward objectives.
5. Support the transformation of the organization by promoting Agile values and principles at all levels.
6. Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to foster Agile understanding and best practices.
7. Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement Agile strategies that align with organisational goals.
8. Help the organization assess its current Agile maturity and provide guidance on the next steps for growth and full adoption.
9. Encourage collaboration, transparency, and accountability across teams and departments.
10. Track and report on key Agile metrics to monitor the success of Agile adoption and improvements.
11. Provide hands-on support to teams through coaching, facilitation, and feedback.

Requirements
1. UK based with unrestricted right to work.
2. Outstanding communication skills and able to engage and influence key stakeholders to effect positive change.
3. Willingness and ability to attend site when needed, likely once or twice per week - due to the locations of some of our sites you will therefore also need a full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
4. In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, etc.).
5. Proven track record of coaching and mentoring Agile teams.
6. Exceptional facilitation and communication skills.
7. Strong leadership with the ability to influence and drive change.
8. Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro).
9. Relevant Agile certifications (CSM, CSP, SAFe, etc.).
10. Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
11. Ability to build trust and collaborate with teams at all levels of the organisation.
12. For the upper end of the salary banding you will also need to demonstrate solid technical understanding of software development practices and have previous experience in leading organisational change or Agile transformation in addition to all of the above.
