Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Nottingham area as they look to recruit a Management Accountant into their team on a full time permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of the monthly management accounts
2. Monthly review, analysis and commentary of the accounts prepared by the job holder to identify reasons for variances and following up with other departments actions that need to be taken
3. Ensure the accuracy of standard costing systems
4. Provide finance support to the allocated business areas including weekly review of costs with the operations team and review of product profitability
5. Weekly critical review of flash estimates made by the allocated business area to ensure that they have been produced on a reasonable basis
6. Continuous identification when improvements can be made within the finance department, in other departments and the company’s computer systems
7. Preparation of annual budgets and interim reforecasts for submission
8. Ability to maintain the fixed assets register as required including posting of depreciation and addition of new capital projects
9. Involvement in the day to day operation of accounting systems to ensure continuous improvement
10. Assist in foreign currency hedging and cashflow preparation
Person Specification:
11. Ability to demonstrate the relevance of experience gained
12. Qualified accountant (CIMA preferred, ACA/ACCA)
13. Experience in accounts
14. IT Skills – high degree of ability to utilise
15. Experience in a manufacturing environment
