Location: Central London
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday (2 days Clinical – 3 days leadership)
Reports to: HCA Primary Care Head of Nursing
Type: Permanent, Salaried Position
Salary: £57000-£60000 depending on experience

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Nurse Manager to support the Head of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations across our sites. In this role, you will:
1. Lead and Inspire: As an experienced Nurse in GP practices, you'll coach, guide, train, and support our practice nurses across our sites, serving as the subject matter expert in best practices.
2. Clinical Leadership Support: Conduct audits, enforce compliance to clinical governance, and shape clinical excellence to maintain consistency across practices. Deputise for the Head of Nursing in their absence. Support and provide guidance to the healthcare assistants and physiologists as it relates to compliance, driving standards of care.
3. Customer Excellence: Provide and role model first-class customer service, upholding our “Outstanding” HCA reputation, instil private patient practices and engagement best practice.
4. Team Development: Interview and recruit practice Nurses, conduct 1-1s, appraise, and develop our nurse colleagues, fostering a culture of support, belonging, praise and recognition. Review and understand clinic rostering with correct skill mix, rotas, and ensure our clients needs are met.
5. Clinical Practice: 2 days per week complete clinical workloads and relate private patient assessments to support your teams knowledge and development skills.
What You’ll Bring:
1. Qualifications: RCN-NMC Adult Registered
2. Leadership Experience: Proven GP practice experience with a mentorship qualification, and proven influential experience in training and developing high-performing teams.
3. Operational Expertise: Experience running different GP clinics and managing nursing operations. (Ideally in private patient clinics)
4. Customer Service Orientation: A strong appreciation for customer service for corporate clients, clinical governance, and being a role model for clinical excellence.
5. Flexibility: Able to be agile with working methods, prioritise and balance clinical work with leadership requirements to meet your teams and business needs.
