We’re looking for an inspiring and experienced Head of Supply Chain to join us in leading our Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics team, supporting the whole organisation to ensure our goods and services deliver the best sustainable value for the RNLI. Hybrid and Flexible working options 26 days’ annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays (increases with service) Outstanding pension scheme (contributions of up to 16% of basic salary) Life assurance Health and dental cashplan option Your Role As Head of the RNLI Supply Chain you will be responsible for developing our Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics functions to cover all elements of expenditure and supplier management, be responsible for the provision of professional procurement expertise and maximising our order efficiency across the RNLI. The key areas of spend include logistics, construction, technology, engineering, marketing and business services. This role will form a part of our Engineering and Supply (ES) Department Senior Leadership Team. The ES Department design, build, supply, support and maintain the RNLI’s buildings, boats and equipment to help save lives and keep our people safe. Together, their vision is to deliver trusted, sustainable solutions to bring our people home safely. This will be achieved by empowering people to be the best they can be and embracing data, innovative thinking and technology to continually improve reliability, safety and availability. The key priorities for this role in the next 5 years are: Implement a new procurement tool suite including P2P, Catalogues and Warehousing. Drive savings and efficiencies in procurement contracts and purchasing, contributing to a more affordable and sustainable RNLI. Implement agreed improvements to our Logistics strategy for the benefit of RNLI volunteers and employees across the Charity. Providing strong leadership for focussed safety and efficiency improvements in our Warehousing facilities. About You We are looking for someone with excellent, proven experience in a similar role. To be considered as our new Head of Supply Chain you will also need to be able to demonstrate: Experience of leading, managing, developing and/or motivating multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating across a variety of stakeholders. A demonstrable track record in driving change and improvement against clear and measurable targets and standards. A strong track record of value delivery, partnership development and risk reduction. A track record of effective collaboration in a complex environment with internal and external partners. Demonstrable experience of building capability within and across teams. MCIPS or relevant business experience. Finally, it goes without saying that you will share our passion for saving lives.
