Job Description / Skills: MRTC is seeking a dedicated hands-on RF Engineer with extensive experience in RF telecommunication systems and a strong passion for technology. If you have a keen interest in wireless communication technology and thrive in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you Responsibilities: Support customised radio communication systems for our clients during events, including preparation, planning, operation and review of PMR systems, including VHF and UHF, FM; with experience in primarily JVC-Kenwood products. With an operational mindset and a problem-solving attitude, this role involves detecting, locating, and analysing radio interference and performing fault-finding maintenance to ensure optimal and crucial communication during events. Driving our technology to a higher benchmark and combining standards of Radio over IP and RF over fibre for multisite approaches, to enable efficient signal transmission and integration of newer standards. Monitor and Analyse frequencies and spectrum management on site to avoid interference and using these skills to prepare and tune RF equipment in advance. Integrate modern radio communication systems and engage with newer technologies, including WiFi and 5G or a combination of customised radio systems connected to other services such as Intercom products of event control and local communication services etc. Desired Skills: EMI/EMC compliance. Experience with VHF and UHF, FM, or DMR Tier II and III systems, and other brands like Motorola, Tait, Icom, Hytera and Radio Activity. Knowledge of RF technology and IP networking fundamentals, including audio standards such as AES67, Dante or MADI. Advanced PCB hardware engineering. Experience in analysing and channeling market needs. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with a clear mindset and professional reaction under time pressure.
