Your Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse & Packing Operative based in Tilbury, Essex. The purpose of the role is to promote the safety and health of self and others in conjunction with site, corporate and UK legislation. Responsibilities include operating carousel packers, palletisers, and shrink wrappers, mixing back flour and ingredients via a rip and tip area, driving a fork lift truck for movement of products around the site, loading and unloading vehicles, and performing cleaning and hygiene duties.
Your Responsibilities
* Operate the packing machines.
* Ensure all areas operate efficiently and continually seek to outperform set targets.
* Ensure stock is rotated.
* Report all plant faults to ensure efficient maintenance of all plant within the packing and warehouse environment.
* Maintain accurate records for performance and hygiene purposes.
* Undertake necessary training to fulfill job requirements.
* Ensure the Health and Safety of all within Company guidelines and current legislation.
* Ensure absolute product safety through careful management of all process lines and product handling.
* Employ a clean as you go policy.
* Ensure all forklifts are operated within company and current legislation.
* Ensure correct document control and record keeping.
* Exhibit a flexible approach to working, with the performance of supervisory tasks as required.
* Responsible for weighbridge operations when required.
Your Profile
• Valid Fork Lift Truck License (Counter Balance)
• Shunter vehicle experience
• Manual handling training
• Food safety
• Health and Safety
• Capable of lifting 16kg to 25kg regularly
• Able to sustain periods of up to 4 hours standing
