Our Team: The Health Improvement Practitioner works as part of the Living Well Team within the Public Health Department. We deliver numerous different health and wellbeing services, projects and training across the life course to the public, professionals and on a system level. We have a dynamic, enthusiastic team who are dedicated to improving the health of our residents within Halton. Development within the team is a real focus with all our staff given monthly 1 to 1’s, regular development opportunities and we have a key focus on making our team a positive place to work. This role will play a key part in training our health system in health improvement and public health topics, so we are looking for a confident individual with good communication skills and a health background to join our team to develop projects in health. Your Contributions: Working across health improvement/public health priorities, you will create, design and deliver training for a range of different audiences on a variety of health improvement topics. Topics may include (but are not limited to) Blood Pressure Awareness, NHS Health Check, Making Every Contact Count, Vaccination Awareness, Nutrition, and Health and Wellbeing. You will project manage and support numerous health improvement/public health projects and campaigns on a local, regional and occasionally national basis, supporting the awareness of key health priorities. You will also support Health Improvement Specialists and Managers with pilot projects and studies to develop and improve the service.
