This is an exciting time to work for the Department for Business and Trade, as the UK continues to develop its trade policy, and negotiate trade deals with countries around the world.
You will play a critical role in delivering DBT’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Framework (2024-28) commitments, aligned to our departmental People Strategy, aiming to enhance opportunity, fairness and belonging for all our people, in all our locations.
This role, whilst offering opportunities to lead your own projects, focuses heavily on building D&I capability and delivery through others, supporting the delivery of cross cutting projects across the Employee Experience Team.
As an Employee Experience Manager, you will be delivering the Inclusive Culture and Fair Treatment aspects of the portfolio. Your role will include building and maintaining skills and knowledge of specialist areas including bullying, harassment and discrimination (BHD), project ownership, and delivery of D&I Framework actions.
This role offers you the opportunity for varied and innovative work with stakeholders across DBT, including building strong relationships with our employee D&I networks, and other government Departments.
This is a pivotal time to join the team as we start scoping and developing our year two actions for DBT’s D&I framework.
You’ll be a valued part of a passionate, pragmatic and knowledgeable team. A team working together to support and upskill the Department to collaboratively build an engaged and inclusive culture, where colleagues feel empowered and confident in navigating Diversity and Inclusion responsibilities.
The Employee Experience and Engagement Team are a small and welcoming team who are keen to help its members achieve their full potential, prioritise their development and their wellbeing. You will be empowered to drive your own development and able to work in a way which is tailored to your working styles and needs.
* As a project coordinator and lead you will facilitate achievement of project milestones, key performance indicators, targets and objectives.
* You will work in partnership with staff network chairs, champions, senior sponsors and others leaders to provide updates and assurance via regular engagement as well as feeding in to wider forum meetings.
* You will work closely with our team leaders and act as a partner to teams across HR advising and supporting them to improve D&I outcomes and impacts for their policies, products and services.
* You will lead on specific projects including DBT’s Respect at Work campaign to consider Bullying Harassment and Discrimination support and how to prevent this in the workplace.
You will be encouraged to think freely, with innovation, about how to thread inclusion through all areas of the DBT employee experience in the short, medium and long term.
