The Role:
* Seeking individuals with specific expertise in test creation, execution and delivery.
* Including roles for Test automation for VIL/PIL, MHEV System test, Gas path emissions (petrol).
* Involved in the planning, developing and implementation of e-drive and xHEV/ICE Petrol test processes and facilities
* Design validation through PiL (Powertrain in the Loop) and ViL (Vehicle in the Loop) testing, ensuring the system meets performance and regulatory requirements
* Test automation would help in verifying the performance and reliability of MHEV components and systems.
Your responsibilities:
* Involves automating test processes, developing test plans, and collaborating with other engineers to ensure the quality and reliability of powertrain systems.
* Ensuring that vehicles meet emissions standards is a crucial aspect of automotive engineering. OEM would need individuals to design and execute tests to verify the performance of emissions control systems in petrol-powered vehicles.
* A Gas Path Emissions (Petrol) Test Engineer at OEM would be responsible for testing and evaluating the emissions produced by petrol engines,
* Ensure we meet regulatory standards and contribute to vehicle performance and efficiency.
* Involve working within OEM emission testing facilities, utilizing various tools and equipment to analyze exhaust gases and other relevant parameters.
* Required to focus on testing MHEV systems. Test automation would help in verifying the performance and reliability of MHEV components and systems
* Experience with Hybrid Systems fault finding and development or testing. Experience of working in Engineering facilities, rig environments and vehicle testing
* Understanding of design and validation principles on MHEV systems and components.
* Experience in Power Electronics application/ integration
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
• Good experience in ICE and MHEV propulsion system
• Proven experience with PiL/ViL testing and validation
• Test planning and understanding of emission regulations
• Good understanding on the Gas path chemistry of ICE engines
• Understand calibration knowledge / sensor control
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering/Electrical Engg
• Previous experience in working in VIL and PIL automation
• Relevant experience of working in powertrain systems engineering and Gas path
• Good understanding on the MHEV system and testing/validation
• Good verbal and written communication
• Be technically curious, with a strong analytical approach
• Have a track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
