As an Employee Relations Adviser, you will work to provide advice and guidance to managers on HR related issues such as performance management, conduct, absence, capability, grievance, and structural changes. You will support a specified area of our organisation, so have the opportunity to build good working relationships and an understanding of business demands and pressures in that area. Essential skills, knowledge and experience: The role requires an individual who is solutions-focussed and can adapt their approach to suit varied situations, providing managers with relevant, pragmatic advice and options. Excellent communication skills Good team working skills are expected as not only will you work closely with colleagues in the ERA team you will also work closely with our Resourcing, People Business Partner, Finance, Safeguarding and HR Admin teams. The successful candidate must be qualified to CIPD level 5, or be working towards this, or have equivalent knowledge by experience. A good knowledge of UK employment law. Knowledge of Office 365 and being comfortable managing virtual meetings. Some travel within the UK may be required occasionally, but this is not regular. This is a part-time contract for 30 hours per week, fixed-term for 12 months.
