We are looking for a highly motivated Allocations Officer to join our busy Housing Needs Service.
Role Overview:
Allocations Officers are responsible for processing and assessing applications received to join our Housing Register and allocations of social and affordable housing to those in housing need.
You will be a key part of the Housing Needs team in providing advice and assistance to our customers in housing need, supporting them to navigate the application process as well as linking with other Council services and Register providers of social and affordable housing to ensure that the housing we have available is allocated to those in the most need.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have a high level of resilience with the ability to work to tight timescales and deadlines. You will be self-motivated and will be able to manage your time effectively to ensure that our service standards are met. Ideally, you will have experience of working in housing related services or a similar field, and previous experience working in a customer facing environment.
