An opportunity has arisen for a Casework Team Leader within the Planning and Environmental Appeals Division (DPEA). DPEA is responsible for determining and reporting to Scottish Ministers on a range of planning and environmental casework, including housing, renewable energy and electricity transmission line proposals. The post will provide an opportunity to expand your skills and. You will develop a wide range of knowledge across all of DPEA’s casework and be involved in high profile work in a fast moving area with a high level of ministerial interest. Responsibilities Undertaking people management and development (line management). Provide effective support to your team, ensuring the fair and efficient allocation of casework. Build effective relationships internally and externally, make links with planning authorities and other stakeholders and work flexibly across the other Divisions when needed. Raise awareness to senior management of new and emerging issues arising. Continuously develop knowledge and expertise in the wide range of appeals and other cases administered by DPEA, as well as the processes that support delivery of these. Managing correspondence (e.g. Ministerial correspondence and FOIs). Provide support to the IT team on on-going development of the case management system and DPEA digital presence in general.
