I am currently recruiting on behalf of my prestigious, award-winning client, based in Maidstone, for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join my client’s team.
Joining this successful and friendly team, the successful applicant will need to have prior experience in a transactional finance role, organised with the ability to work under pressure.
The successful applicant will be responsible for processing purchase ledger invoices and resolving related queries on all assigned suppliers.
About the role:
1. Process purchase invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system
2. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
3. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and assist with month-end closing procedures
4. Communicate with suppliers via phone and email to resolve all queries
5. Ensure new suppliers are set up following the approval process
6. Other ad hoc duties
About you:
7. Purchase Ledger experience is essential
8. Accounts Payable experience is also advantageous
9. Excellent levels of Customer Service
10. Competent daily user of Microsoft Office and Excel
11. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
12. Ability to meet deadlines and targets
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
14. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
