We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Multi-Utility Site Manager to join our team and lead site operations across multiple utility sectors.
Job Overview:
As a Multi-Utility Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of multiple utility projects on site, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. You will work closely with engineers, subcontractors, and the project management team to deliver successful utility installations, maintenance, and upgrade works within designated timescales and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Management: Oversee multiple utility projects, including gas, electricity, water, and telecommunications, ensuring all activities are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
* Project Coordination: Coordinate between project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless workflow and effective resolution of any on-site issues.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and stakeholders.
* Quality Control: Monitor work quality and adherence to project specifications, conducting regular site inspections and reporting any issues or deviations to the senior management team.
* Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of work, potential risks, and solutions to keep projects on track.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor site staff and subcontractors, ensuring all personnel are adequately trained and motivated to perform their roles effectively.
* Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
* Budget & Resource Management: Manage resources and materials effectively, ensuring cost control and the minimization of wastage while ensuring high standards of work.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and adhered to for each project.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in site management within the civil engineering or utilities sector, with specific experience in multi-utility projects (gas, electricity, water, telecoms).
* Qualifications: Relevant construction or civil engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent). SMSTS or SSSTS certification is preferred.
* Health & Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations (CSCS, First Aid, and other relevant certifications).
* Leadership: Proven experience in managing teams, subcontractors, and multiple stakeholders on-site.
* Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of utility installation techniques, equipment, and systems.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, team members, and senior management effectively.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.
