About This Opportunity Your work environment : We currently have a vacancy for a Continuous Improvement Manager, based in one of our European plants or at Wantage (UK). The role will be reporting to the Quality, EHS and WCP Director Bevcan EMEA. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual. The successful candidate will be a key player within our Central Team to implement and manage the operational performance of the Continuous improvement programme across EMEA, ensuring the successful delivery of business strategy and objectives. Your Mission In Crown In this role, the successful candidate will: support the Senior Leadership Team in identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities in line with our Cost Reduction Programme, Twentyby30 Initiatives and support the realisation of these opportunities work with plants and central functions to ensure progress towards Bevcan EMEA Operational objectives and ensure plans are aligned with the goals and objectives. support the Operations Team in developing/maintaining our 5 years Manufacturing Roadmap and ensure adequate focus is given to keep the Roadmap on track. Audits and monitors progress of all Continuous Improvement activity within the Business Take on specific improvement projects on an ad-hoc basis such as optimisation of lacquer consumption, spoilage reduction, etc. develop a continuous improvement culture based on World-Class Performance principles which continually strives to reduce our operating costs year on year through the development and engagement of all of the plants Teams and central functions promote, develop and facilitate the use of all Continuous Improvement tools and techniques through internal and external trainings (ie Yellow/Green Belt workshops, including Black Belt programme, following up projects and certifications Promote the use of benchmarking, communicate them and, where appropriate, ensure that actions are in place to achieve standardisation of best-known practices and procedures About You The ideal candidate should have: A master’s degree (or equivalent) in Industrial/Mechanical engineering with at least 7 to 10 years of experience in an industrial environment, in a shift/production/engineering/quality/ continuous improvement role, with demonstrated operational experience in implementing and using continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement; Black Belt certified an advantage. Capable of leading, coaching and influencing, with strong data analytical skills, still able to “roll their sleeves up” when required, with decision-making skills and a proactive problem solver approach, flexible in the approach and ready to adapt to any changes. Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills, with ability to complete multiple simultaneous projects on a deadline. Good facilitation, training and presentation skills, with outstanding and clear communication across all levels of the business, with robust interpersonal and leadership skills Fluency in English, other European languages desirable, with ability to frequently travel from base.
