Pepper Advantage is a leading specialist loan servicer in the UK and we are currently seeking a Commercial Loan Servicing Senior Specialist. The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in customer service within an unregulated commercial loans environment. As a Commercial Loan Servicing Senior Specialist, you will support the CRE Manager to achieve the Servicing Team’s performance goals. Your responsibilities will include implementing loan strategies, liaising with customers, maintaining financial models, making mandated decisions, handling complaints, and contributing to project work. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of commercial loans secured against operational real estate and buy-to-let properties. You should also be highly numerate and proficient in Excel, capable of testing covenants and maintaining financial models. As a Commercial Loan Servicing Senior Specialist, your main responsibilities will inclu de: Effectively handling inbound and outbound calls with customers and third parties, consistently delivering excellent customer service. Assisting the drafting of credit papers to approve loan strategies. Helping to support and drive the commercial team and customers with servicing and collections contact. Providing operational support to execute agreed loan strategies Reviewing customer supplied Management Information and testing financial or operational covenants. Reading loan documentation and producing concise summaries Updating and reviewing Excel based loan models Effectively liaising with the Client, representing Pepper Advantage appropriately Assisting with monthly QA, Oversight and End to End reporting Deputising in the CRE Manager’s absence Essential Skills: Exposure to commercial mortgages secured against operational real estate and buy to let mortgages Familiarity with covenant testing and the ability to extract relevant figures from customer management information Intermediate to advanced Excel ability, comfortable updating and reviewing loan models Phone-based customer service experience Insolvency/collections – knowledge and understanding of recovery options available to Lenders on commercial loans. Able to form productive relationships at all levels Risk – The ability to assess and mitigate risk for the benefit of the organisation. Customer service and commercial awareness – The drive to understand, agree, and satisfy customer requirements (internal and external) and deliver a high-quality service to them. Travel into Central London once a fortnight is also required.
