Job overview
The Head of People and Culture is a Business Partner role, leading and driving the development of strategic people plans for the Clinical Boards. The NHS in Wales has a number of significant workforce challenges and we need great people to join us and make a difference.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will report to the Associate Director of People and Culture and will be professionally responsible to the Executive Director of People and Culture. The role will ensure that effective and appropriate strategic P&C Plans are in place to develop a highly skilled, competent and motivated workforce which supports service and professional transformation to benefit patient care.

Qualifications & Experience
* Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience
* Post graduate qualification in Organisational Development or willingness to work towards
* Significant experience of workforce and organisational development issues in a large, complex, NHS Health Board/Trust
* Evidence of strategic workforce change and implementation within a complex environment.
* Proven track record of innovation, change management and implementing best practice.
* Previous experience in a senior Workforce role
* Knowledge of Primary Care, Integration agenda and appreciation of “Setting the Direction” strategic development within NHS Wales
