Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade C SCP 5-6 FTE £24,790 - £25,183 per annum (Actual pro-rata salary £15,759 - £16,009 pa)

Contract type: Part-time, Fixed term until 31/08/2028
Hours: Term Time Only, 27.5 hours per week across 5 days

We are seeking a dedicated and patient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a delightful Year 3 student. This student presents with a unique learning profile, characterized by significant challenges in expressive and receptive language and social communication. While they demonstrate strengths in fluent reading and exceptional spelling, their reading comprehension and ability to apply learned concepts to new situations are areas requiring targeted intervention.
The successful candidate will work closely with the student to implement strategies that address their Complex Language and Communication needs, as well as their learning and cognition and sensory processing requirements. This role demands a proactive individual who can foster a supportive and structured learning environment, enabling the student to access the curriculum, develop their social skills, and build positive relationships with peers and adults, to maximise their potential.
The ideal candidate would be able to start as soon as possible and will be on a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2028, as this is when the pupil is expected to leave Roseacre to attend High School.
