Senior Electrical Engineer £60,000 - £70,000 DOE Stirling We do what we say If you strive to do what you say, we'll have a lot in common We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer specialising in Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems, with a focus on Electrical specification and integration of plant Instrumentation,, and Automation (EICA) designs. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in delivering successful projects, from detailed designs to construction and commissioning. Here are some of the activities you will get involved with You will Develop and Deliver electrical designs, including HV Plant specifications, Primary Substation upgrades for both existing and green field sites and all small power and auxiliary systems. Develop HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review, estimation, site supervision and support as required Ensure designs are delivered in accordance with both industry and the clients standards and specifications. Develop detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software Collaborate with engineers and project managers to determine project requirements and specifications Perform site visits to assess existing electrical systems and develop effective design solutions Interface with other discipline e.g. Civil/Structural, Protection & Control, and OHL engineers Actively developing external and internal client relationships. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members throughout the project lifecycle Prepare accurate project documentation, including bills of materials and cost estimates Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance design efficiency We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate Significant experience in electrical design of schemes up to 33kV, preferably within the energy sector• Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, CYMCAP or Revit Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations Knowledge of power distribution, lighting systems, and control systems Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneous A proactive and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment Our Company Every day we work smarter, greener and use our imaginations.
